Chloe Fest 2018

Come to the sixth annual Chloe Fest to honor the memory of a brave little 2 year old who died fighting a degenerative disease called metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD). Every penny raised will go directly to cutting edge research at the University of Minnesota. Here's what we're going to do to pitch in for this fight. A .09 mile walk/run/skip. That's not a typo, we want you to join us for a 9/100 of a mile walk around the circle of our neighborhood to help raise money for this cause. We will get everybody signed up/registered from 10:30am-12:00pm and spend the next half hour getting everybody ready for the big walk which will kick off at 12:00pm.

Entry fee will be $25 for adults, $5 for kids. For your $25 donation you will not only get to help out a great cause but you'll get plenty of food and plenty of great beer specially crafted for this event by some fantastic homebrewers. Lemonade will be provided for the kids and non-beer-drinkers. We're also working on getting some raffle and auction items so make sure you save a few bucks for that as well.

We will be accepting cash or checks for the entry fees and you will get a receipt for tax purposes. If you cannot make the event that day but still want to contribute any amount to the cause, please let me know and we’ll make that happen.

If you want to participate but the entry fee is not in your current budget, please email/text/talk to me about it. Every penny counts and even if you have none to spare we always need volunteers to help us out and would love to have you.

If you are able to help out with anything from auction/raffle prizes to helping set up, tear down, etc please let me know because anything would be greatly appreciated to make this event a successful one.

The number one thing you can do to help is to show up and bring a friend or ten. The number two thing you can do is donate something for the auction/raffle.

Year one we had 50 participants who raised $2500. Year two we had over 60 people and raised over $6000. Year three we raised almost $7000. ear four we passed $20K raised, and year five saw us raise over $25K in the history of the event. Let's see what we can do this year!
